Ava Vo | Founder & Executive Director
Ava is the heart behind PAWS Foundation and the vision for Silver Paws Resort, a senior dog sanctuary inspired by her beloved rescue, Lola. Since 2019, she has been rescuing, fostering, and rehoming dogs, often covering medical expenses and transport out of pocket to give each animal a real second chance.
Fun fact: Ava insists the dogs are VIP residents — humans only get guest passes.
Emanuel Ramos | Director of Shelter Operations
As our Director of Shelter Operations, Emanuel is the main caretaker for every rescue that enters our doors. He oversees daily feeding, medication routines, cleaning, enrichment, and comfort care — ensuring each animal feels safe, supported, and genuinely loved. His patience, dedication, and calm presence give our rescues the stability they need to heal and thrive.
Fun fact: Knows exactly which blanket, bowl, and bed each dog prefers — and spoils them accordingly.
David J. Perez | Director of Digital Media
As our Director of Digital Media, David manages all website content, social media, digital storytelling, and online communication. From crafting rescue updates to building our digital presence, he ensures our mission and every rescue dog’s story reaches the community with warmth, clarity, and heart. His creativity helps connect supporters, adopters, and fosters to the animals who need them most.
Fun fact: If it were up to David, he’d rescue every farm animal too — goats, cows, chickens, and all.
